It's child maintenance case,125c and DV case. But he's not agree to pay the maintenance of my child in court. So my lawyer say now our case referred to Lok Adalat where my husband agree to pay the maintenance. So i want to know what are the disadvantages and advantages of Lok Adalat.Should I agree to this?

Lok Adalat is a single window system of court. The main advantage is that the system is very straight forward and no intricacy of court is involved. The justice would be quick.
But disadvantage is that the decision of Lok Adalat is final and if you are dis satisfied with the judgment, there is no scope of any appeal.

You are lucky Ms. Puneet that the court (Lok Adalat) has come to your rescue where "No scope" for an appeal and order passed is final and binding.
However, did you raise this query before your lawyer? If so, what is his/her response? If no, why? Are you dissatisfied with his/her (your lawyer's) ability, agility, intellignence and proceedings?
Although the query is an academic one, even then, I agree with expert advise of Mr. Anupam Lahiri.

Thanks for reply,
DR JC Vashista, actually it's strange he agree for the child maintenance because he already say NO so many times in court that i cant pay the child maintenance and im fighting the case for more than 3 year and now i understand why he agree for it.Thank you so much for guiding me.

I want to ask one more question. If anyone can help me please.
Is there any share of my child in my husband or in my father-in-law property?
My father-in-law and mother-in-law is no more.
Someone suggested i can case for it so he can't sold his property and at the age of 18 my child can get the share of property. So at-least my child have roof on that time because currently i'm living in rent.

1. In respect of self acquired property, he can dispose at his discretion.
2. In respect of ancestral property, your daughter is having share in that property of father.
