respected sir,
My grandmother with her other 5 siblings has her late father's ancestral land and house. in all 6 children of her father two are women and other four are men. They recently sold the land mentioned above to the builder. My grandmother has her name mentioned on the papers of the land. So she got her share from the sale of land. Now her four brothers saying that there is no name mentioned on the papers of the house I mentioned above of her and her sister. So she will not get the claim of they sale the house as they both are sisters so they don't have any claim on the house. Is this true by law? Can she claim her share on the house too? If yes then what is the procedure for the same.? please help me...

The daughters got equal rights in their father's property from 1956 onward. If your grandmother's father died in the year 1945, until your grandmother's name was there in the property, she may not become eligible to a share in the property, however a proper opinion can be given only after seeing all the relevant papers of the case.
