Change of surename of entire family

Dear Sir, we are a three members family ie parents and a child. We want to change our surename. What is the legal procedure step by step. Please give me an idea how complex the whole process is.

This could be effected through the prescribed procedure for change of name i.e. due publication in the Gazette/News papers.

Sworn affidavit. publication in news papers, publication in official gazette is the normal procedure.
