Grabbing of property

We have a house on my late father's name at my native place, as I was living in different place more than 550 km away from my house with my spouse & children , my Brother took the possession of my share of house by braking the lock , he took all my utensils & sold many of it as I was totally unaware about it , he took the possession from july 2005. when my Mother died & I lock two rooms of this house which was in my possession. when I went their his wife not allow us to enter the house. what step I should have to take to vacate my place in my late father's house.

Seek partition of the property and take the injunction to sell the property.

Try to involve elders and take charge of your share/rooms locked by you.

You may explore intervention of relatives, friends, neighbours and/or some respectable persons of the locality before availing legal opportunity.
Besides filing a suit for partition as advised by experts, which I fully agree, have you lodged a police complaint for illegal occupation and trespass? If not, get FIR registered.
