Respected experts
Today one of my neighbouring aunty tortured my mother mentally and claimed false eligations on me that I have a loose character and I misguide her daughter. She also said very hurtful and wrong things about my family and tortured me and my mother mentally. Me and my mother are so mentally disturbed that I can't even put it into words. I am 17 years old and will be turning 18 on this 16 January. Please tell me what leagal actions I can take against her and how and by which laws.
Thanking in anticipation
Yours truly

MAM,
You can charge that aunty for insulting the modesty of the women ..... but I would suggest you to collect some evidences to prove the allegations in future.....

It is always better to forget such baseless arguments / charges.
You are younger enough to spend your time in courts / police stations in follow up of the case. There is possibility that you may find environment of court and police stations more unfriendly / mentally disturbing apart from expenses you have to spend.

The gain after such a long legal exercise, may not be attractive / as per your hopes. There is possibility your supporters / evidences may not be with you / your side in court.
Build your career in positive direction, your success would be a true reply / punishment to her bad words.

You can file a criminal case by lodging FIR with the Police or moving a jurisdictional Magistrate. However, the procedure and process may turn out to be long winding and taxing, and it may be that the charges may not be proved on evidence. Moreover, it is almost a certainty that the other party would initiate a counter case leading to far more disastrous consequences.
Given the facts stated, it would be the best course to try to work out an amicable settlement through friends/elders.

Agree with the expert P. Venu, if you proceed , possibility of counter cases from other party can not be ruled out.
