ClassI legal heirs of Hindu male are; Mother, wife,sons,daughters..........and shall share the estate left un-disposed by owner (Hindu male) after his death.
Your husband can sign valid WILL in your favor and preferably register it.
If the title of property is in your name then you are owner.

If the property is in your name you are the owner. No one has the right to disturb or your enjoyment as owner of this property including your mother in law.

Merely the statement of your mother in law saying that the property belongs to her does not make any difference legally.. do not worry.. It is your property.

Well advised by experts, nothing more to add.
There is nothing wrong in the ownership (title)of the property wherein you are the "sole" owner, let your mother-in-law may stake a claim in the property, legally it will not stand.
However, it is her (your mother-in-law's) statement and not a suit claim.
