Hi, I need help. I am from pune and had an arranged marriage and staying with in laws in Bangalore.Since the time I have been married, husband and in laws are demanding my full salary...they are torturing me like non allowing to eat food or take any food items...hence I buy and cook..they are not happy with that as well...and asking me to go out of the house and stay....they abuse me and say I am an outsider and I have no right to stay in their house....they are conspiring to take me out of the house and now they are saying husband will be staying outside and I have to say where husband stays...they have taken my streedhan as well in their custody..they are mentally torturing me as husband has hit me as well..please help me as to what I can do to have the right to stay in the house and get my streedhan back

You file a criminal case for dowry harassment, return of your articles, for the offences of assault on you through police.
After that you file a DV case seeking protection, residential rights, return of your streedhan articles, compensation for the mental and physical tortures against all of them.

I wanted to check one more thing....2 days ago my father in law called my family in pune and said all negative thing about me and said they will file a complaint on me on the basis of senior citizenship if i dont nove out of the house with my husband once he gets the job.I said before they are trying their best to check how they can take me out of the house...I am worried if they take any false action against me..it's been 2 years for our marriage and in 1st year only when they were demanded money from me and wanted to check my bank balance and whe I refused....they assaulted me and when I had been to the nearest police station, the police had directed me to go to shivajinagar Police station to file the complain and before I cud do that their relatives came and pacified me and took me back home saying my husband and parents will not harass again and everything will be fine....but till date nothing has be resolved....as I am alone in bangalore....no sure what to do as I wish this marriage works but looking at their behavior,it seems they have dead sure that they done want me and planning something against me.I wanted to check....if they take a first step legally.... will my complain be considered if I go to police

If you do not take action under Dowry Law and Domestic Violence Act that doe snot mean that other party will not take action under any law available to him.
You have a right to keep residing in the matrimonial house.
Sr Citizen Maintenance and Welfare Act, applies on son and daughter , nephew/niece.
The women like you do not take help of law available to them and keep suffering.
