Inam lands were offered during the british regime for various reasons to the persons like service inam, Devsthan Inam , Saranjam Inams. However, after british rule, still restrictions were there to transfer this land. But some of the lands which belongs to Devsthan lands , burial land were not maintained by the holder as there were some illegal transfers and money misappropiations came in the lights and therefore those lands were looked after by Waqf boards specially lands of muslims, who established this board to look after these lands. However, if you are holding Inam land personally, you can obtained necessary permission from competent Revenue Authority for its tranfer. But you can not transfer the Inami land looked after by Waqf Board. Because Waqf board has to decide about their tranfer and etc.

KINDLY NOTE THAT LAND LAWS ARE VERY OLD AND SINCE BRITISH RULE SEVERAL ACT WERE PASSED.THESE ARE VERY COMPLICATED LAWS.THIS WAS MAY SPECIAL SUBJECT AND HENCE I CAN TELL YOU THE MEANING OF THE TERMS.
INAM LAND.THIS IS A LAND AWARDED AS INAM TO THE HOLDER OF LAND INAM MEANS PRIZE.OLD KINGDOMS AND SUBSEQUENT BRITISH RULE IN INDIA SOME LANDS WERE AWARDED TO SOME LOYAL SOLDERS OR PERSONS FOR THEIR GOOD WORK.IT IS CALLED AS INAM LAND.
WHEREAS WAKF BOARD LAND MEANS WITH REFERENCE TO WAKF ACT APPLICABLE TO MUSLIM RELIGIOUS PREMICES.THERE ARE RESTRICTIONS ON SALE OF INAM LAND AND WAKF BOARD LANDS.THE PURCHASES MAY FACE DIFFICULTIES.
IT IS ADVISIBLE TO KINDLY PERSONALY CHECK WITH LOCAL COLLECTORS OFFICE BY MENTIONING LAND PROPERTY RECORDS NUMBER.AND TAKE A SEARCH REPORT OF SAID PROPERTY WITH THE HELP OF LEGAL EXPERTS.ALL YOUR DOUBTS WILL BE CLEAR.
KINDLY SEND DETAILS FOR FURTHER HELP.
GOOD LUCK.
THANKS.
