For giving on rent process

Dear Sir,

i would like to know what is the process for giving a flat on rent. i know we have to make an agreement and submit a copy of it as well as a photo and address proof of the tenant in the nearest police station for records. Do we also have to register it we the registrar office also.

Please suggest the process.

Rent areement is neither a complusorily registrable agreement nor its registration makes any benefit to the landlord.

as far as Indian System is concerned, giving a property on rent means giving invitation to legal troubles.

but you may be lucky if you get a good tenant.

make sure you are in position to get rid of tenant as and when you require, otherwise its better to let the property to rot rather than giving it on rent.

If you are giving the property to tenant you should execute a lease deed for eleven months, lease more than one year need regn. less than one year need no regn.

Rent agreement less than 12 months period need not be registered.
