Dispute over a property bought by two friends

Two friends ramesh and suresh bought a property together. After the death of Suresh, his share was taken up by his two sons- Amit and Sumit. But the property continued to be a joint property. Sumit started construction over this joint property without asking Amit and Ramesh. Ramesh moved to the court and got a stay order against Amit and Sumit both to stop the construction as both are brothers and lives together.But despite of court's order, Sumit continued the construction. What remedy is available with Amit to save himself from the case of contempt of court and his interest in the property. It is pertinent to note that Amit no where consented for construction.
