Can a mother gift the land (as dhaan)to her own son as per karnataka Act. (unaware of this matter)

yes. a mother can be gift the property to her own son.. but gift should be legal one. i mean its should be without condition and consideration..

she can execute a gift deed. there is no bar in karnataka

Yes. She can very well gift her properties in favour of her son if the properties are her self acquired.
