you can make the two copies of the same and one will remain with you and one with the trustee
R.Ramachandran (Expert) 21 August 2011
It is OK if the Trust retains the original and gives you only the Xerox copy. However, ensure that the Xerox copy contains the registration details like in which office registered, when it was registered, in What Volume / Book it was registered at what Number etc. These details are usually available on the reverside of the stamp paper and those details are entered by the Registration Office.

AS our experts state is correct adiitionally as stated by our expert you can make two copies in original which is permissible in law and one can be given to the trustee and the other to be retained with you.
