did your father leave behind any will?

if shop purchased in your and your brother name was money advanced by your father by way of gift ?

or was it shown as loan?

after death of your father any claims made by your step mother / step sister?
Guest (Expert) 08 November 2011
by plain reading of your query they cannot claim any share.
Raj Kumar Makkad (Expert) 08 November 2011
Even if your father contributed 100% amount in purchasing shops but person whose names these shops stand registered are its exclusive and sole owners without intervention of any other person. In the given case, you step mother or sister has got no right in the given shops.
prabhakar singh (Expert) 09 November 2011
SINCE THE PROPERTY WAS PURCHASED AND REGISTERED IN NAME OF YOU TWO NONE ELSE NOW AT LEAST AFTER DEATH OF YOUR FATHER CAN SUCCESSFULLY CLAIM IT AGAINST YOU.
Sailesh Kumar Shah (Expert) 09 November 2011
Stepmother and step sister can't legally claim a share on shop. Since property is in you and your brother name.

If you have difficulty in understanding Prabhakarji's answer then follow Mr. Ganeshan's advice.
prabhakar singh (Expert) 10 November 2011
i meant you both are absolute owner in which none of them can claim any share.
Sri Vijayan.A (Expert) 11 November 2011
No doubt.
Your step mother and step daughter cannot claim.
You and your brother are the only owners.
No other persons can disturb you.
R.venkatesh Naidu (Expert) 14 November 2011
