Dear Sirs,
I would like to know the following facts:
Is keeping empty cheques and Promisory NOtes crime? Most of the private money lenders do this in India. What is the procedure to do the money lending business? Who need to give the permission? Most of the private money lenders rotate lakhs of rupees in India over people but never pay Income Tax, though some have Pan Card. Some private money lenders demand interest monthly, weekly and even daily.....I seek experts opinion in this regard.

for doing money lending buisness you need a money lending licence . if you dont have licence and if you have lent money you will find it diffcult to recover without licence
you cannot charge any amount as interest . legally ther must be a clause as to interest to be charged .
