Changing name on pan card

i would like to change my sir-name on the pan card, from my married name to my maiden name, as i have been separated for over 2 yrs. I use my maiden name at the company i have joined. my driving license and voters id is also in maiden name,as i have got these before marriage, and do not want to change them. my bank accounts are also in my maiden name. The pan card office is asking for a gazetted copy of the name change. The sub-registrar is saying that since my maiden name is my original name they can not help ,a nd that pan card office should acknowledge my birth certificate as proof. the pan card office finally said that they need a divorce document. the pan card has my fathers name under mine, and his name is on my birth certificate as well. PLEASE HELP ME FIND A WAY TO GET MY BIRTH NAME ON MY PAN CARD.

Dear querist
file an application for change the name & attached the birth certificate or other relevant document in which your desire name appear or show clearly, recently SC held that it is not neccesary to a woman to use surname of her husband.

Dear Querist, At the time of applying for PAN, in support of your name you must have attached an official document like Marriage Certificate etc. potraying the new surname adopted after your marriage. Accordingly , the name stated in your PAN card is appearing there. Now, when you want to change into your maiden name, you have to attach an official document in support of separation from husband along with an affidavit on the context to enable the concerned authority to act as per your request.

Along existing pan detail and with all relevent document u sent applicaation form then it will change and the department will send u new card
