How are fees of lawyers determined?
What if a lawyer does not furnish a receipt for fee charged?
How to select a competent and knowledgeable lawyer who can write a proper deed and have knowledge of computer in legal matters?

How are fees of lawyers determined?
Answer: there is no rule. Determination of Fees is depend upon experience, expertiseation, etc. of lawyer.
What if a lawyer does not furnish a receipt for fee charged?
Answer: Ask it,it is your right. If he is also advocate, you can complain before State bar council for not providing receipt.
How to select a competent and knowledgeable lawyer who can write a proper deed and have knowledge of computer in legal matters?
Answer: There is no parameter, however you are able to guess right person.
Are there any registration of lawyers?
Answer: State Bar council.

You have disbelief from day one so no solution to your problem.
No body is perfect so you can not negotiate like in a vagitable market.

Dear Anonymous,
As for the fees chargeable by the Lawyer, please see the attachment.
Apart from taking up with Bar Council for non-issuance of a receipt by the lawyer, you can over come this issue by other method. Even when a lawyer does not issue a receipt, you can get your interests protected if you pay your lawyer through Cheque. You also deduct TDS wherever applicable.
How to select a lawyer of your requirement is your own best judgement. You will learn only by test and error method!
There can be no lawyer without appropriate Registration with the Bar Council. If you ask whether any body gets registration according to their proficiency/expertise in particular field, the answer is 'A BIG NO'.

Dear Mr. Sudhir,
I don't think that is a correct answer for the query posed.
Just because one did not ask about the Doctor's fee, does it mean one should not ask about lawyer's fee?
As a professional, we should be able to face the query and give an upright answer - whatever that be. To my little mind, putting a counter query does not seem to be an answer!

O K sir please give a plausible answer. For a doctor no body blames him for results in fact those who charge highest treat only terminal cases who go from hospital to funeral.
What about advocates , for all the ills of the legal system the blame is put on advocates.
This and all other legal sites are full of complaints against advocates and other breed of advocates suggesting as a rule bar council or even police complaints for such complaints even without knowing the facts or the side of the accused.

I fully support the views of Mr JSDN.
Both Parties at Liberty to fix Fees of Advocate.
A guideline for Minimum fees nder Bar Council of Mah Goa Gen/ Admn. / 5738/2005 dt 16-8-2005, but never adhered to.
It is a very Grey area.
Some people says, Vakil & vesh*y*, no fixed fees.Rs. 50/- to Rs. 5 cr for same work ~~~
Commodity rate is a equilibrium between demand and supply, and it's usefulness.
Only restricted by prodn cost.
No compulsion, free will free choice, go to anyone. engage any one and leave at any moment,
Make any allegation.
Vakil & Vaidya, before illness, very much in demand. like god, and valued high., once cured/ case over, don't turn up also."garaj sari, vaid weri- Enemy after purpose is served. " No Respect for all VVV.
