How do i go about 300 shares of a company which was in a single name and is dead without a will/nomination.what is the procedure to transfer thees shares to the heirs.

are the shares in physical form or demat done . ?

if owner of shares is dead approach the company . the company has to be satisfied that you are the only legal heir . company may ask you to produce succession cetifcate . or on furnishing of indemnity bond may agree to transfer shares .

u need to get the "Succession Certificate" from the competent court, on the basis of that the said company will transfer the entire amount/ share in ur favor (legal heir)

Yes! apply for succession certificate in civil judge court of the district where deceased was ordinarily residing before his death,prove your right of inheritance then ask company to transfer shares in you name.
