(Querist) 08 March 2012 This query is : Resolved
The most common instrument for a woman is to file 498a, DV, etc. However, what if these cases turn out to be false in the court? What actions can be taken against such a woman/her family?
ajay sethi (Expert) 08 March 2012
if false 498 A case has been filed by the lady and it is proved to be false it amounts to mental cruelty and a ground for divorce .

if wife has deliberately given false evidence on oath she is criminally liable . you can also sue for defamation
