sir,
my father had 2 wives i am from 2 wife.my father died in 1982.my step brother had hidden the said documents of the property.as we use to stay in mumbai and the property was at my native place we did not enquire as i was a child at that time.we where not on talking terms till date. now i came to know that that my father has left behind some property and i got the 7/12 extract from office and found that the 7/12 extract r on my fathers name and after that it shows that it is transfer on my stepbrothers name and his sisters after the GUT system came, without my knowledge.pls advice me so that i can get my share in it.

WITHOUT GOING INTO DEEP I ASSURE U ILLEGITIMATE SONS HAVE RIGHT IN THE SHARE OF SELF ACQ PROPERTIES OR FRO FATHERS SHARE IN COPARCENARY PRO.SO I THINK PROPERTY IS GONE OUT OF UR HANDS.

Your step brother used to look after the property and used to give you your share in cash from the property income till 2002.
You file partition suit for property now.
SC ruled, children cannot be illegitimate for property purpose.
