Land acquisition by central govt.

In a land acquisition procedure by the central govt., one plot of land has four brothers of hindu family as recorded owners as per the land record. Three brothers has given “no-objection” in favour of one of the brother for claiming and receiving full amount of compensation. Can it be acceptable and whole compensation be paid to one brother only?

Yes. Acceptable, as all other owners have expressly authorised one to collect the compensation.

There is no legal hurdle to do so but it shall be better for them to get executed a MOU in this regard as this is for safer side.
