(Querist) 29 May 2012 This query is : Resolved
Respected Members,
My father was died without make any will.
He is the owner of DDA flats in Delhi.
He purchased DDA flats and I would like to know that what is the procedure to change the ownership in the name of my mother after my father death.
In our family we are three member my mother, myself and my sister.
Request you to please guide me what should I have to do step by step.

Dear Mr.Sahni,

Since your father died without a Will(intestate), his property automatically devolved on three of you in equal respects.

You'd have to get a legal heir certificate from the Court, and then approach DDA with the same for necessary changes in their record.

If you two wish to release your right in favour of your mother - you'd have to execute a registered relinquishment deed.

Feel free to talk !

make an application to DDA for transfer of flat in name of legal heirs . you will need copy of death certificate ,. in addition have to furnish indemnity bonds in favour of DDA . nOc from other legal heirs would be required
