1. Who is the appropriate authority to check the validity of the driving license?
2. Do the district Consumer Forum has the authority to check the validity of driving license.
3. Is there any judgement on this?

RTO
Regional Transport Office of the District is the appropriate authority to check the validity of the driving license.
consumer forum have no concern . no citation.

DL is issued by RTO and he can certify that if he has issued the DL of it is fake one.
Who can check validity? I think each and every body can check its validity that if it is valid to drive particular vehicle or not. It is checked by the provisions of Motor Vehicle Act 1988 and rules made there under.

Take an example
RTO of Jaipur issued A DL no 12345 to Mr A to drive a Light Motor Vehicle.
He only can certify that if he issued such a DL or not. But he can not say any thing more.
Now question is that if A drives a Motor Cycle, is it valid?
This validity can be checked by You, Me or by MR Shroff.

Respected Experts,
the facts r.. my client's car met wid an accident nd got his car damaged. After the said accident he informed the insurance company and also lodged he FIR. The insurance company repudiated the said claim and took the plea that at the tym of issuing of license to the driver he has nt attained the age of 18 yrs, bt at present he is 35 yrs and they prove this fact wid the copy of the passport of the driver.
I have got a certificate from the license issuing authority that the above license is a genuine license.
1. how will I prove my case.
2. Whether th Distt. Consumer has the power to check the genuineness of the said license and moreovr and judgement law on it.
I shall be very thankfull to al the experts.
