Affidivate for passport address proof

Dear Experts,
I am staying in my current address for more than 1 year. Can I get an affidavate for the proof of address and use it to get the passport? Will passport authority will accept this as an valid address proof document?

they will insist on letter from Secretary of Society that you have been staying in said society for more than year . or they would require copy of your agreement for purchase of said premises or agreement showing you have taken it on rent

Applicant’s ration card, certificate from Employer of reputed companies on letter head, water /telephone /electricity bill/statement of running bank account/Income Tax Assessment Order /Election Commission ID card, Gas connection Bill. (NOTE: If any applicant submits only ration card as proof of address, it should be accompanied by one more proof of address out of the above categories).
