Chs bye laws of maharashtra

(Querist) 31 July 2012 This query is : Resolved
Is there a chs bye law which prevents a person who is not a joint owner but an associate member and obtained NOC from the original member to be co-opted or to contest in society elections. I have checked section 27(8) which states NO SYMPATHISER or NOMINAL member can be co opted or contest soc elections. Nothing is mentioned about associate members who are not joint owners but have fulfilled the above mentioned requirements.

associate members can contest elections . the fact that 27(8) bars only nominal member indicates that there is no bar from associate member standing for elections provided he is authorised to do so by the main member
