Housing scoiety - building shed & shifting of garden

(Querist) 03 August 2012 This query is : Resolved
The Managing Committee built a small shed for parking cycles (appx 100 sq ft) with collapsible grill to secure agst. cycle theft reported and also a shed for parking motor cycles since previously the same were parked hapazardly, blocking the entrance. Both the sheds r in the back side of the bldg. & all other members are quite happy that the new Comm. has taken initiative to address this issue.
One member has written to the Society whether BMC approval has been obtained for the shed. Whether BMC approval is required ? Heard it is impossible to obtain BMC approval without greasing palms. Also we wish to relocate the garden to another area to make way for parking. Whether BMC approval is required for shifting the garden ? Tried to search the same on BMC website but could not get any information related to the same. Need guidance on the same.

well in bombay if you do any construction you need BMC approval . in reply to member you cna state that it is a temproary shed erected to protect the cycles against moonsoon .

if you want to change the layout plan shift the garden etc better obtain BMC approval or tomorrow you will have members complaining to BMC about unauthorised alterations

There is no requirement for obtaining BMC approval on temporary constructions but for major alternations, it is better to obtain.
