Rti act-2005

(Querist) 13 October 2012 This query is : Resolved
I filled an RTI application, before the MCD property tax deptt., in the capacity of General secretary of RWA and clearly indicate, that I am a citizen of India. My application is rejected, due to the reason since I have asked the information in the capacity of General Secretary. I am not satisifed with this answer since I apart from the my capacity indicated cleary that I am a citizen of India, and the information is required as the RTI act-2005.

Please clarify if there is any clause in RTI-2005, which barred me to receive the information, in the capacity of General Secretary, since a General secretary is also a citizen of India

Dear Harjeet

Actully if,you are in need of information you have applied, why didn't you applied of your own in stead of a representative capacity. Perhaps the PIO is not satisfied with the identity as General Secretary. If you still want information in that capacity, then prefer an appeal.
