Purchase of flat in navi mumbai

Dear Experts,

I am a housewife.My parents have decided to sell their flat in Navi Mumbai at half(Rs.25 lakhs) the price of its original(Rs.50 lakhs) to me as a token of gift.

Now me & my husband have decided to go for a loan in his name for the entire Rs. 25 lakhs.
My query to you is, is it possible for me & my husband to jointly get the flat registered in our names instead of my husband alone & me just the co-owner?

If yes, then what are the formalities involved in getting the names registered?

There is no special formality for this. You both should get the registered agreement and thereafter sale deed in equal share and banker shall also accept it.
