Q)according to new marriage amendement act. if father in law of wife has self acquired/personal property and husband dont claim from his father does wife claim property for taking divorce. moreover does this ammendement is applicable to existing divorce case in the court?

it is not yet passed by Parliament . the way our Parliament is functioning these days it may take some time for it to be passed .in addition it may be subject to amendments as suggested by members

Quite a premature query. There are many a slips between the cup and the lips. Wait & see, which way the wind blows.

Only cabinet has approved the bill. The bill has to face the rigour of both the houses turn by turn before that is passed by both the houses for the assent of the president. Unless there is an absolute majority of any party, the bill is likely linger on for years together.
