Grand son has any right on grand father's self acquired property ??

(Querist) 12 August 2013 This query is : Resolved
When Grand father ((mother's father)died intestate.Do Grand son has any right on grand father's self acquired property, even when grandson's mother alive?

In one of the similar query .. Mr Prabhakar Singh said as below
"Q.Can a grandson claim right in his grandfather's self acquired property? How?

A.Only when they are from mitakshara school of Hindu law and grand son was born within life time of his grand father who died intestate."

Is it not same applies to my situation?

In the property left behind by the grand father who died intestate, only his legal heirs viz., his mother (if alive), wife, son(s) and daughter(s) are entitled to equal share and Nobody else.

I do not agree with the advice of Prabhakar singh if applied in the given case. Grand son is not entitled for any share of deceased maternal grandfather during the life time of his mother.
