Rs 5000 was paid to a Public Ltd. Co. as Fixed Deposit for one year on being offered interest @ 11% interest p. a., compounded on quarterly basis and FD Receipt was received showing Rs. 5,575 as maturity amount. After one year, the FD holder asked the Co. to renew the FD amount of Rs 5,000 and to pay him one-year’s cum. interest of Rs 575 but the Co. made FD of Rs 5,575 instead of Rs 5,000 and did not pay the interest of Rs 575 to the FD holder.
The Co. asked the FD holder to surrender the original FD Receipt of Rs. 5,575 under the guise of correcting the FD amount and thereafter neither delivered the corrected FD Receipt of Rs. 5,000 nor paid the interest to the FD Holder.
The FD holder wants to file a Consumer Complaint for deficiency in service and wants advice on whether (1) the Public Ltd. Co. or (2) the Co's Managing Director or (3) both should be made "Opposite Party / Parties" in the said Complaint?
