Execution of will

(Querist) 03 December 2013 This query is : Resolved
Has anybody got a right to execute a WILL in favour of his wife & sons on his moveable/immoveable property acquired through his own earnings and ancestral property ? If yes, can he distribute disproportionately to his wife and sons ? What does the property /inheritance law say about it? Pl clarify.
BAALASUBRAMANNYAMM (Expert) 03 December 2013
A person is allowed to make a "Will" only on his self acquired property to the others, on whom he is interested or having love & affection, as per the law. When compared to an " ancestral property", the said person is not allowed to make a "will" as mentioned above, but as per law, his legal heirs are entitled to share along with you.
