My Father name is Ram Ganediwala but its recorded as 'Ram Agarwal' in his Pan card and also the Income tax file consisting the same name..
As Agarwal is my cast name..
My father never realized and ignored that its needs to be corrected..
Now I want to change his name from Ram Agarwal to Ram Ganediwal in both Pan card and in Income tax file.
What should I do now?

visit the website- https://tin.tin.nsdl.com/pan/index.html and make necessary changes in ‘ changes and correction’ section. Fill the online form and submit it. After it is verified and processed a new PAN will be issued to you.

File online form for amendment in PAN card, pay charges and send print of this form with necessary documents, the amendments would be done.

One of the lawyer in my locality advised me to give advertisement in Official gazette for the name change, and then to fill PAN correction form..
He said Pan Card no. is connected with surname so if you want to correct surname you have to give advertisement in official gazette first...
