Public obscenity

i was sitting in car with my female friend(not girl friend) in parking lot near my home. i live in dda flats in dilshad garden,Delhi. the RWA president came knocking on the window 2 minutes after we sat in the car and started asking our address. is it illegal to sit in our own parking lot with female friend or even girl friend. does RWA members have the right to ask questions like this or only a cop can do so.please help me in this regard.

Although RWA members have the no (legal)right to ask questions like this, yet morally/socially not only they but also any one, can question.
If you still feel aggreived by the action of President of the RWA you may lodge a civil or criminal defamation case.

This is moral or social responsibility of residents to be aware if any anti-social activity is being done in society premises or nearby.

This is no reason to be annoyed. However if you feel aggrieved, you can always move to court for relief. If court find merit, you will get relief.

I do not find any wrong in such enquiry by Resident Welfare Association people if the parking lot belongs to them.

It was just a casual inquiry for which you should not be so much agitated if you were right with no obscenity with woman in car.
What displeases you so much?
What was bad to welcome her in your flat itself?An open car parking place is some thing different from a room?
