Joining government job

Dear sir if a person was accused in a minor fight in college which was comprimised in a court, can he join government job in future.

Sir FIR was registered, not arrested, not detained,police reported and charged for slapping manhandling etc ,They got bail in first date as both parties appeared compromising, case was closed in court on second date.
