Could we used our own lawyer instead of public prosecutor in a rape case

(Querist) 07 January 2015 This query is : Resolved
hello All,

in a rape case, the public prosector is not supporting the complainant, so could we use another lawyer from the complainant side who could better present the case, if yes, under which provisions of CRPC, the said provisions are present.

regards,

Make a representation to director of prosecutions or the government to change the PP. No provision to engage a private lawyer.

you cannot appoint your lawyer in the case

Academic query.

The querist appears to be aggrieved party. The question thus cannot be academic.

OK, Mr. Venkatesh, you may solve his problem and intimate the provisions of CRPC, as asked by him, if you feel that he is an aggrieved party.
