Registration of society under society registration act 1861

(Querist) 11 February 2015 This query is : Resolved
Dear Experts,

I want to register a society under societies registration act 1860 in Faridabad (Haryana). Now, I would like to clarify two things, 1 what process and docs require to register a society at state level.2 Also define what should I do if register this at all India level.

Please short my query
Thanks in advance

It is done at Indian level only. For the process you have to meet the local professional or concerned officials.

1. I have similar opinion as advised by expert Sh. Devajyoti Barman.
2. For process and documents consult a local (Faridabadi) lawyer.
3. For your second question, (which is a test given to us and it is not a query since you wanted to know the definition), the societies are registered on "all India basis".
Thanks.

Thank you all

But I met to a local advocate regarding this he advised me that we can register a society in two manner, 1. if all members are local from faridabad then it would be registered at state level (work in the territory of our state). And in other case if we submit the documents of two local members and five members form any state of India.

Please clear my doubt@ Mr Barman and Mr Vashista

Go through the Haryana Society Registration Rules at following link:

If you are not satisfied with the experts opinion, you may go for a second opinion with some other experienced lawyer in the local or visit the registrars office in person, get all your doubts clarified and proceed in a correct and proper way.
