Transfer of name

Hi Sir/Madam,
I lost my mother last year. We have a property registered in the name of my mother and father. Please guide me with process of removing her name and including my name along with my father's name in the property deed.

After the death of a person, the property should devolve upon all his/her successors according to their personal law. Therefore, all the successors should file an application alongwith all other documents to the Revenue Authorities/Panchayath/Corporation etc., to incorporate the names of the successors in the Revenue Records.

The share in property of your mother would go to legal heirs as per your personal law.
