Section 226 crpc

(Querist) 16 May 2015 This query is : Resolved
I'm a final year law student and I need some guidance. I've been tasked to research section 226 crpc, specifically "what happens when the Prosecution does not state by what evidence he proposes to prove guilt of each of the accused persons".
1. How strict is this requirement?
2. What rights of the accused gets violated when this is not done?
3. Citations would be most appreciated. (i found some judgements which states that sec 226 crpc must be complied with but it's just a mention of a line or two, no elaborations).
Please help. My respectful thanks in advance.

As a law student, the College expects you to make research of your own and to come up with the outcome of your research. Therefore it is not advisable for you to outsource the task to others and to get ready-made answers. That will not be of help to you in the long run.

I go by the stand taken by experts on such issues.
