Sir,
Can a Pvt company demand / claim payment of money for goods supplied 5 years back?There is no business in between as the shop is shut due to loss of the shop owner and he is absconding though he is available sometimes in his home.

@author, a pvt.compy. can demand/claim the shop owner. file a case in the court of law with consultation of a local lawyer who have sufficient knowledge in this kind.

The claim is time barred unless there are any intervening incidents which could have set off the period of limitation.

Mr. Kuldeep,
If you think the events should be on your part, you are mistaken. For the purpose of time bar, the relevance is with reference to the nature of efforts and the interval of last effort having already been made for recovery of the dues by the creditor. Shutting of shop is no excuse or solution to the problem or relevant for limitation for recovery suit.
Your supplementary query, "what time bar is" has no relevance in the absence of description of the case in right perspective.
In the istant case, you have not come forward with appropriate description of the actual problem. Your problem is purely of an academic nature, while in legal parlance any solution is problem specific only, not based on simple academic type of queries, like yours. You have not bothered to reply my last query, as to how you are related with the case. That itself indicates as if yours is purely an academic query and you have no relation with any such problem.
So, be specific about your real problem, if there is any. Even if Shri Venu or any other expert replies your supplementary query, there would be no end of your supplementaries in this academic query in the absence of description of the case and the nature of problem.
