Employer is accepting resignation letter

(Querist) 18 November 2015 This query is : Resolved
Hi, I have worked for 3 years in a software company. I had contract of 18 months which is over already. I am at a customer site for last 16 months. I have resigned on 7th Nov via email, the directory, my manager and HR are copied in mail but they are not replying on mail. I have job offer from another company but they are asking for joining date, my employer is not giving final date, every day he says that we need some time to think. my question is - if the employer accepts my resignation, will they count notice period from 7th Nov or from the date they accept the resignation? If they don't relieve me soon, I will loose the other job offer. I am afraid they may terminate me or file fraud cases. what should I do? I am fulfilling all the terms in my appointment letter and ready to pay for notice period.

Mention clear notice period and LWD in notice of resignation....................and/or subsequent communications.

Download evidence of clean service and no fraud etc.

The notice period starts from date of notice.

Submit that you NO tasks pending at your end and routine duties be assigned that can be completed on day to day basis within and upto LWD and to whom you should handover the charge within and upto LWD.

You must take your next employer in confidence and obtain in writing that it won't terminate employment if you do not receive acknowledgment/acceptance of resignation, service certificate, relieving letter etc and /or employer posts adverse comments in BGV.
