Distance Education LLB is not valid in whatsoever manner.. Bar council of India has not recognized any such courses anywhere in india. So if you want to do LLB, attend a BCI recognized college.

Sir,
LLB is not just a degree.. it's a very responsible profession.. merely reading books doesn't justify legal knowledge.. if you want to be a lawyer.. find a better college and attend the lectures.

It is quite good, if you think to have legal knowledge and want to add some legal qualification along with your technical degree. Of course, acquiring knowledge of law does not always mean merely to practise as an advocate/ lawyer by registering with a Bar Council.
So, must not get disheartened. You must acquire knowledge of law, as that can help in any field of your service career.
You may perhaps get benefitted by the following information about the universities/ institutions that are known to be providing Distance Education Courses in Law:
LLB offered by Kashmir University and Guru Nanak Dev University.
Bachelor courses - (BGL, BAL, BBL) offered by Annamalai University & Madurai Kamraj University
LLM offered by Acharya Nagarjuna University, Ambedkar Open University, Berhampur University, Bharati Vidyapeeth, Global Open University, Kakatiya University, Karnataka State Open University, Kurukshetra University, Kuvempu University, Madhya Pradesh Bhoj Open University, Sri Krishnadevaraya University, Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam, Sri Venkateswara University and Uttaranchal Open University
Diploma and PG Diploma offered by Alagappa University, Annamalai University, Bangalore University, University of Hyderabad, University of Madras, Madurai Kamaraj University, Mahatma Gandhi University, National Law School of India University and Amity University
5 universities considered to be on top offering Law distance learning courses
- IGNOU
- Annamalai University
- National Law School of India University
- Madurai Kamaraj University
- Guru Nanak Dev University

That is your outlook, how to make use of the distance course. For practising, you will have to take up a regular course.
You asked for distance course, not shown intention to practise, so provided you with the necessary infomation.

I entirely agree with the exhaustive and excellent reply given by learned expert Shri PS Dhingra ji. Practice of Law as an Advocate is not the sole aim of gaining legal knowledge. Legal knowledge has advantage for every person irrespective of his/her area of profession.
