Regarding joining the service

Sir I was called for the post of Postal Assistant 5months back and still they haven't issued me any offer of appointment,meanwhile I was selected as TAx Assistant in CBEC and I am willing to continue in this rather than going for earlier post. My query is that whether I can withdraw from former selection before they issue me offer of appointment?

Has CBEC issued any offer of appointment and have you accepted?
Do you have copy of T&C issued to called for/selected candidates for postal assistant? What are the guidelines for called for candidates?
If CBEC has issued selection letter and have completed all formalities and issued offer of appointment then you may inform the authorities in Postal Deptt, under proper acknowledgment, regarding your inability to join citing non issuance of any selection letter/offer letter in the past 5 months.

If you have not joined You can join if appointment letter is received from CBEC,

Even the Police Verification was done for the earlier section two months back. CBEC joining process was just initiated they called for document verification and other antecedents in the first week of April'16.

Selection process of postal authorities is still half-way and you were not issued joining letter/joined the job. You are at liberty to join or refuse to join postal service.
If you got opportunity you may join CBEC and CBEC is your preference to join, there is embargo, illegality or bar.
