Hello every one,
I want to know about anybody have idea about freelance servicing knowledge/laws? It generally used to be at home or being a individual give any kind of service to the particular client and get paid.
I am a freelance designer. I generally provide online design services. It has been 1 and hf year to be in this professional background never faced cheats.
Three months before I met with one client. done so much works according to they required and when they assured I send the whole documents. But now after getting all documents they are ignoring me for payment. I want to know the proper legal way to reach with us the way they got to be in pressure to pay the payment.

From the limited info shared in your post, it is gathered that , you have in possession detail reference of scope of work, request for undertaking the assignment on behalf of your clients,exact address of their office establishment and contact person with status in the organisation. Besides , you have copy of work done and your professional bill. Now there is default in payment. Have you any reference of advance payment or part payment, say a RTGGS transfer or money receipt etc. . With these documents ad info, you can approach an experienced local lawyer to serve a pleaders notice on the client without loss of time for recovery.

Dear Ms. Anushree,
Freelancing need adequate cautions to be taken to ensure payments for the jobs accomplished. In my own case of freelancing I had to encounter three cases that too with foreign clients, out of which I had to refer to some foreign arbitrator involving payment of hefty arbitration fee more than the original agreed amount. Ultimately the case was won with costs.
In your case, your description of the problem is quite inappropriate in the absence of the type of agreement (written or verbal), mode of receiving order, mode of fixation of compensation, mode of submission of document and the contents of other communications exchanged between both the parties and mode of usage of the contents by the other party, i.e., on website or privately in office.
Please make the things clear for formation of some purposeful opinion and guidance.
For the time being you should understand, without documentary evidence, you may not succeed in your claim. So, the whole facts are need to be explained to get appropriate advice.
