All that depends upon the statements of your officer, cashier and the peon as against your own statement to the police.
If someone of you have given a statement that you have given the keys instead of allowing opening the cheat in your presence, you should not hope to get acquitted of the charge of handing over of your key of the chest to your staff. Apparently, breach of trust on your part can be proved on that basis.
Moreover, if copies of the statements of your officer, cashier and peon are got examined only that can help to arrive at some conclusive opinion.

@ Imposter/ Fake expert, Kumar Doab,
With what purpose you have made two vague posts, "Is it not a repeated query?" AND "Same Query: http://www.lawyersclubindia.com/experts/Banking-643826.asp<" and how does it matter, when you are not going to provide any solution to the author of the problem, as like in the other thread, where you made 19 vague posts, but without any advice to the author?

Why did you repeat? It is absurd, ridiculous and stupidity to repeat. No reply.
Discuss with your lawyer.
