This query is : Resolved
There's a friend of mine , a girl of age around 18yrs... Navneet ,a boy of 23+yrs has been pressurising her to marry him . She's actually his relative... The boy named Navneet is actually her elder cousin's husband's brother.
Is there any way she can protect herself from that boy even if her family supports the boy not her. ..
And is it possible that they can marry (as per the hindu marriage act in the indian constitution )
What shall she do to protect herself without letting that person know...

Sorry for the mistake I couldn't see that point in haste
I'm Rudra from Uttarakhand (IN) , the girl is family friend (you can say kind of relative ) .. She had been sharing this issue since long .. I had no knowledge on this matter so couldn't help her . I got this website as a suggestion from a friend who's law from NLU , New Delhi , india... It will be very kind of you all if you provide with some way so that she has no problem in future ...

NO GIRL/BOY CAN BE FORCED TO MARRY AGAINST HER/HIS CHOICE. That sums up the whole thing!
