Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 29 December 2017 This query is : Resolved
Sir,
after working 11 months in central excise department, I give technical resignation through proper channel and joined income tax department.
I have been working as a inspector in income tax department since june 2017.
can I retain my previous service?
can I join the earlier service in central excise department?
Ms.Usha Kapoor (Expert) 30 December 2017
since YOU APPLIED THROUGH PROPER CHANNEL BY TENDERING TECHNICAL RESIGNATION WITHIN 2 YEARS OF LEAVING YOUR PARENT JOB HAVING RIGHT OF LIEN ON POST BY JOINING IN CURRENT JOB YOU CAN REVERT TO YOUR PARENT department.. Since you are not yet confirmed under probation Right of Lien to post may not be there,. After completing the probation successfully you will get ail rights such as Lien to post etc.

The provision for lien is for permanent govt employee and you have served only for 11 months and may still be on probation.
