hello sirs,

how to get divorce under mutual consent as per HMA?
how many months or years it will take?

howmany times we have to appear the court?

if one party couldnt appear second hearing , is it possible to appoint a power of attorney/ representative?
Arvind Singh Chauhan (Expert) 24 January 2011
Both have to file divorce petition on such ground before court.

court fixes the first date after 6 month for reconsideration on the matter.

If the parties insist upon the petition even after the lapse of 6 month time, divorce is decreed easily.

It is advisable to appear personally on second date for early disposal.

Yes I agree. On the date of final hearin both the parties need to be physically present. No POA holder could dispense with the personal attenadance of the parties to the suit.

Agreed with experts.
