Tenancy

(Querist) 19 February 2011 This query is : Resolved
How can one remove a tenant in the absence of an agreement. my landlady has never given any money receipt. even though i have ade a few payments by cheque. there is no agreement. But my business is running there for five years.
Devajyoti Barman (Expert) 19 February 2011
If you have proofs for payment of rent then that is sufficient. For proving a tenancy a tenancy agreement is not a sine a qua non.
NOTTAM VENKATASAMY (Expert) 20 February 2011
NO NEED AGREEMENT,YOU SAID YOU HAVE PAID YOUR RENT THROUGH CHEQUE THAT IS ENOUGH FOR PROOF OF TENANCY.
Uma parameswaran (Expert) 20 February 2011
