Dear sir,
One Person is cheating me from one bank check he found singed / self signed (Didn't remember) from my home. This is confirm that i never communicated / transacted any financial term with that person personally / professionally.
The account is closed from ICICI Bank opened in Allahabad 2002.
The account is Transfered in Ghaziabad and the banker closed the allahabad account & provided new account ICICI Bank opened New in Ghaziabad 2004.
My Question is ?
1. What is the liabilities / value ability / accountability of check if the account is closed and some one get check after 2 , 3 year and he was trying to bounced the check & file court case under U/s 138 with in section 420 ipc ?
2. is there any rule in banking if the account is closed after that the check and the liabilities of the same is over from the account holder?

if you file a case NI138 the cheque was must returned that no sufficient fund, and some reasons,same time the cheque only valid for 6 months from the date of issued,

1. Is there any rule/ Guidelines in banking if the saving account is closed & after that What is the liabilities of check if the Check Get Returned From Banks after comment /Advice Note that "ACCOUNT CLOSED".

So long as the cheque's period of validity is in tact, closure of account will not absolve the account holder of the liability or responsibility towards the cheque. Rather, if the cheque is dishonoured with the remarks "Account Closed" it will attract the provisions of Section 138 N.I. Act.
