Hi,

I am a single unwed mother (catholic). I have a 5 year old daughter and I want to understand what I need to prove custody as I am planning to move abroad.

I am constantly being asked to prove sole custody for the following reason- I made the mistake of putting the father's name on the Birth certificate.

I have since made my daughter's passport and that only has my name and 'XXX' in the father's name field.

I am looking for legal advice here, not moral support or moral judgement.

Please help!

file a declaratory suit for declaration as to relationship of you and your daughter and to declare she is in you custody.
